This is Viganotti, one of Genoa’s most historic chocolate makers, where century-old machines are still in operation every day to create artisanal chocolate using traditional methods.
During this guided tour, visitors have the opportunity to discover the fascinating process that transforms cocoa beans into delicious chocolate bars. In this one-hour experience, designed for both adults and children, guests explore the history, aromas, and flavors of true Genoese chocolate production.
FORMULAS
- Adult Experience
After the guided visit, participants enjoy an exclusive tasting session led by the Master Chocolatier. Different varieties of chocolate are sampled to explore their origins, textures, and unique flavor profiles. Each guest completes their own tasting notes, learning the basic techniques of professional chocolate tasting.
- Children’s Experience (ages 5–14)
At the end of the visit, young participants discover how cocoa beans are transformed into chocolate by grinding the beans with a pestle and mortar. They prepare their own small portion of raw chocolate to take home — a practical and delicious souvenir of the visit.
